Jamieson (Jamie) Findlay

Storyteller and Grant Writer

Jamieson (Jamie) Findlay, a resident of Chelsea, QC, is Nature Canada’s Storyteller and Grant Writer. He has been a science writer for many years, working both as a freelancer and as a web communications officer for the Government of Canada. Born in Ottawa, he had the good fortune to grow up in Whitehorse, Yukon, and so acquired a love of wilderness early on. He has done volunteer conservation work on the island of Java, Indonesia, and has participated in a charity trek to the Mt. Everest Base Camp in Nepal. His degree is in history (from Queen’s University) and he is a keen fiction writer, musician and cross-country skier.
