Erin joined Nature Canada as a Nature Network Organizer in September 2020.
Born and raised in Ottawa on the unceded territory of the Algonquin Nation, Erin studied Journalism at the University of Ottawa and Algonquin College, and holds Master degrees in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Ottawa and International Development from the Université Grenoble Alpes.
Erin’s passion for an equitable and just world has led her to get involved in the energy, climate, and degrowth movements in Ottawa, Canada, and Europe. She is passionate about empowering change at the local level that is felt across the country. She feels very hopeful about the challenges we face today when she is working collectively to find solutions and take action.
In her free time, Erin loves playing with her nieces and nephews, swimming on hot summer days, walking through forests, exploring the never ending world of herbalism, and envisioning the sustainable future she dreams of.
