Born and raised in Mexico, Samantha moved to Canada in 2021 to pursue an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science at the University of Ottawa. During her studies, she joined Nature Canada as a Fundraising & Development volunteer before advancing to the role of organizer for the Work to Grow program. She is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive environment where individuals from all backgrounds can thrive. She actively works to address systemic disparities experienced by racialized communities and is dedicated to breaking down barriers to nature access for newcomers to Canada.

Samantha is passionate about creating an environment where everyone can thrive and live their best lives, by acknowledging the disparities that racialized groups experience, and actively working to make that change. In her spare time, she enjoys baking and crocheting for her loved ones.
