Cassandra joined Nature Canada in 2023 as the Director of Finance and Administration, and oversees all of the financial aspects of the organization. Cassandra studied accounting at the University of Ottawa, and spent many years working in public accounting, where she focused on helping a wide variety of businesses and not-for-profit organizations with their tax and operational business needs. Most recently, she also worked as a Finance Manager for another charity here in Ottawa, and really enjoys the financial aspect of the not-for-profit sector. She is passionate about nature and animals, and is proud to be supporting Nature Canada in its mission to protect nature. She grew up in the west end of Ottawa, and now lives in Orleans with her husband and two kids. She loves traveling to the East Coast and enjoys camping, hiking, the ocean, and going on nature walks with her family. She loves being outdoors and appreciates all of the interesting sights and sounds of nature!
