Nature Canada

Nature Canada’s Volunteer of the Year for 2019 is Dawn Carr

Nature Canada is pleased to award Dawn Carr with the 2019 Volunteer of the Year Award!

The Nature Canada Volunteer of the Year Award is our way of honouring the hard work and commitment that these remarkable individuals put into protecting nature on their own time. Nature Canada wishes to recognize individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the movement through their talents and time, while working with Nature Canada or one of our partner organizations.

Dawn Carr has shown incredible leadership on the Steering Committee of Women for Nature and the countless hours she has put in to support Nature Canada. In particular, we would like to recognize her leadership and initiative regarding the Young Nature Leader Bursaries in 2017 and 2019, doing vital work to strengthen and empower future leaders in the environmental sector. Thank you for all of your amazing work!
