British Columbia

Greater Victoria Naturehood is a collaboration of non-profits, public and private organizations working together in the Capital Regional District to connect residents and visitors with nearby nature, for the purposes of nature conservation, preservation and restoration.

NatureKids BC is a nature discovery and environmental action organization that helps children form meaningful and enduring connections with nature.

Okanagan Similkameen Conservation Alliance (OSCA) provides opportunities to experience, discover, explore and protect the unique and amazing environment in the South Okanagan Valley, including at public events such as the annual Medolark Nature Festival.

 

Alberta

Nature Alberta’s Nature Kids program facilitates nature-based programming for kids, families and school groups at public events in the Calgary, Grande Prairie, Red Deer, and Edmonton area.

 

Saskatchewan

Nature Saskatchewan engages and inspires people to appreciate, learn about and conserve Saskatchewan’s natural environment.

 

Ontario

Long Point World Biosphere Reserve works to promote biodiversity, conservation and sustainable communities through outreach, research, monitoring, partnerships and other projects in Norfolk County.

Green Ummah is a grassroots organization that seeks to create an environmental movement in the Canadian Muslim community.

South Shore Joint Initiative (SSJI) is a volunteer-run organization with a vision to permanently protect Prince Edward County’s South Shore, where together biodiversity and people thrive.

Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre brings nature-based resources and programming to Simcoe County through school group programs and public workshops, specifically supporting under-resourced schools.

Trails Youth Initiatives offers a unique nature-based program that focuses on building confidence through skill development, high school credits, bursaries, and mentorship, with the goal of breaking the cycle of poverty.

The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) is a leader in environmental education and has been delivering innovative learning programs and events since 1954.

Georgian Bay Biosphere Mnidoo Gamii (GBBMG) was designated in 2004 as a region of global ecological significance that makes an ongoing commitment to strive for a sustainable and equitable region.

 

Quebec 

Programming developed by Nature Quebec encourages elementary school classes in Quebec City to engage with and appreciate urban nature as part of the NatureHood program.

Earthvalues Institute (EVI) is built on the fundamental guiding principle that nature is our teacher, and creatively weaves nature themes into school curricula and other outdoor programming with a focus on youth who live in the greater Montreal area.

 

Nova Scotia

Young Naturalists Club (YNC) hosts field trips and special events where families can learn from expert naturalists, explore local parks & trails, and experience the many fascinating natural phenomena that make Nova Scotia so awesome.

Flying Squirrel Adventures (FSA) facilitates learning about nature in nature by bringing people together to learn, share, and explore in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia.

Nature Nova Scotia is a federation of natural history societies and other environmental groups in Nova Scotia and works to create public events and programs that foster awareness and appreciation for local species in the community.

 

New Brunswick

Nature NB invites young people to connect with nature through the NatureKids program and partners with local schools, youth groups, and organizations to encourage a connection and appreciation for nearby nature.

 

Newfoundland & Labrador

Nature Newfoundland & Labrador is the oldest conservation organization in the province, and has worked since 1910 to promote awareness, appreciation and the conservation of wildlife in Newfoundland and Labrador.
