Volunteer of the Year Award

The efforts of volunteers do so much to help reach national conservation and advocacy goals. Annually, Nature Canada recognizes individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the movement through their talents and time, working with Nature Canada or one of our partner organizations. The Nature Canada Volunteer of the year award is our ode to the hard work and dedication that these amazing individuals put into protecting nature on their own time. 

Eligibility

Individuals who have done outstanding volunteer work on behalf of nature and in partnership with Nature Canada. Nomination for the award can be made by any member of Nature Canada.

  • Nominees may be individuals or organizations.
  • Are you a Nature Canada member? (Required)
    You must be a Nature Canada member to nominate a candidate for the Volunteer of the Year Award.
  • Reason for Nomination (Min 300 Words)
    Describe how the nominee has undertaken conservation activities that support Nature Canada's mission to discover, defend and restore nature in Canada. What programs have they been actively volunteering with? How have they demonstrated leadership? How have you interacted with this person and why do you think they should receive this year’s volunteer of the year award?
