Nature Canada

Junior Shorebird Journal

Shorebirds are amazing: their spectacular migrations are one of the longest on Earth. As the name suggests, they are found along shorelines, but they are uniquely adapted to a variety of habitats, and can be found from tundra in the Arctic to saline lakes in the desert. To learn about shorebirds, how to identify them, and what you can do to help them migrate, check out our Junior Shorebird Journal and Activity Booklet!

Our goal is to build local capacity for conservation through education, provision of resources and knowledge exchanges. Check out the Save our Shorebirds campaign page here and our field notes from James Bay and Brazil here.
