Bird Tweet of the Week: Baltimore Oriole

In the 17th century, Lord Baltimore, the first Governor of the Province of Maryland, had a coat of arms that featured the orange and black colours we associate with the Baltimore Oriole. Coincidentally, this species’ breeding range is around the area of Baltimore, Maryland as well.
