Celebrate Canada’s Parks Day / National Parks Day

Canada's Parks Day or National Parks Day is celebrated on the third Saturday of July each year. It's a day to celebrate Canada's national, provincial, and territorial parks, and encourage people to enjoy and learn about these natural spaces.
This year, as part of the Canada Strong Pass, the Government of Canada is offering free admission to places operated by Parks Canada from  December 12, 2025 to January 15, 2026 inclusive. The pass will also return in the summer of 2026.
It includes:
  • Free admission to all national historic sites, national parks, and national marine conservation areas operated by Parks Canada
  • Lockage at canals administered by Parks Canada on historic waterways (in summer)
Some locations will be very busy so here’s some alternatives to get the most of your trip!
