Rosanne Parry and A Whale of the Wild

We partnered with Rosanne Parry, author of “A Whale of the Wild” to bring awareness to the endangered Southern Resident Killer Whales.  Watch the video and take action below!

Thank you to Rosanne Parry, for sharing their thoughts of the VR experience and story of Critical Distance and the Southern Resident Killer Whales. We applaud the New York Times-bestselling author for her masterful conservation storytelling in A Whale of the Wild. By blending a gripping survival narrative with meticulous research, the book highlights the fragility of the Salish Sea. Parry’s lyrical prose and Lindsay Moore’s breathtaking illustrations create a vivid, urgent portrait of marine life and the environmental threats they face.

Take Action!

A strong network of Marine Protected Areas will work to reduce habitat degradation, slow the loss of endangered species, and restore depleted fish stocks. It’s clear that protecting 30 percent of our ocean by 2030 will go a long way to ensure Canada preserves the nature and way of life we know and love.

Your voice for nature has never been more imperative.

Let the Minister of Fisheries know that protecting our oceans is important to you.
