2016 Nature Photo Contest
A big thank you to all of our members who participated in this year’s photo contest by submitting their favourite nature photos and memories! After receiving over 4,000 awe-inspiring nature photos it was tough to pick just 13 of them to be featured in our 2017 Nature Calendar.
We couldn’t have done it without the help of our amazing panel of celebrity judges: Senator Nancy Greene Raine, Michelle Valberg, Mark Graham, Michael Taylor, Laura Bombier, Les Stroud, and Sandy Sharkey, but most importantly we couldn’t have done it without members like you! Thank you to everyone who voted for their favourite photo!
We are pleased to announce Fox on the Hill by Chris St. Michael as this year’s Nature Photo Contest winner! This photo portraying a Red Fox in fresh snow will grace the cover of our 2017 Nature Calendar which will be mailed out in a few weeks!
Art for Nature
Thank you to all of our members who bid on the specially crafted, nature-inspired artwork during our Art for Nature Online Auction. This year, we raised over $2,800 towards our efforts to protect and conserve nature across Canada. A special thank you to the Canadian artists who generously donated their talents to this auction:

* We incorrectly attributed a different quote from the photographer to this Fox on the Hill image, and apologize for the mistake of using his Fox Kit quote which was an “honourable mention” photo.
