Add Your VoiceLake Ontario is stewarded by several First Nations and has been for millennia. The Haudenosaunee, Anishnaabe, and Huron-Wendat have ancestral ties to these waters and continue to exercise their inherent and treaty rights on the waters today. As we advocate for the establishment of an NMCA in Eastern Lake Ontario, Nature Canada is undertaking continuous outreach with local First Nations to understand their priorities. We hope to facilitate continued conversations about conserving the waters of Lake Ontario in a framework of ethical space.
