Celebrate Canada’s Parks Day / National Parks Day

Canada's Parks Day or National Parks Day is celebrated on the third Saturday of July each year, which means this year it falls on July 19, 2025. It's a day to celebrate Canada's national, provincial, and territorial parks, and encourage people to enjoy and learn about these natural spaces.
This year, as part of the Canada Strong Pass, the Government of Canada is offering free admission to places operated by Parks Canada from June 20 to September 2, 2025 inclusive.
It includes:
  • Free admission to all national historic sites, national parks, and national marine conservation areas operated by Parks Canada
  • Lockage at canals administered by Parks Canada on historic waterways
Some locations will be very busy this summer so here’s some alternatives to get the most of your trip!

Did you know, our Nature Photo Contest is on now?!  We look forward to seeing your memories of time spent in our National Parks.  Every photograph submitted brings a smile to our faces! Now go out and enjoy!
