A small oil tanker ran aground on Cape Breton Island just north of Sydney Nova Scotia yesterday. Six crew members were airlifted to safety (as seen in this video).

The tanker is carrying 15 tonnes of either Bunker C or diesel oil with no immediate signs of a spill.  The challenge will be to get the ship off the rocks before the oil does begin to spill.

Local birds, whales and people waiting anxiously. To learn more about this story, click here.
