Office Management Volunteer

Summary

Nature Canada is the oldest national nature conservation charity in Canada. For over nearly 85 years, we’ve helped protect over 110 million acres of parks and wildlife areas in Canada and the countless species that depend on this habitat. Today, we represent a network of over 175,000 members & supporters and more than 1200 nature organizations in every province across Canada.

Nature Canada is looking for an Office Management Volunteer to help with day-to-day office duties. The ideal candidate would be able to commit around 2-4 hours/week to come in-person and work on administrative tasks. Our office is located at 300-240 Bank St, Ottawa, ON K2P 1X4.

We’re looking for someone who is interested in office admin tasks, has great attention to detail, and would like to meet our team and assist them with any administrative problems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of office supplies in the kitchen and around the office
  • Organize resources and publications in our printer room and storage room
  • Day-to-day administrative support to staff
  • Some physical lifting may be required

Benefits

Volunteers will build their resume and gain experience working at a national environmental non-profit, learning transferable professional skills in office administration and management, donor communications and answering inquiries.

Nature Canada also provides professional training opportunities for volunteers to take courses on DEI, Mental Health, Leadership Skills and HR Compliance. A certificate or reference letter may be given to a successful candidate upon their 3rd month of volunteering with us.
