Sevda joined Nature Canada as an Organizing Assistant in January 2022.

She is a graduate from Trent University’s Environmental and Resource Science program and has a strong passion for conservation and sustainability. Throughout her career, Sevda has worked for conservation authorities and environmental nonprofit organizations.

In Sevda’s freetime you can find her hiking, camping, gardening in her farm in the summer, or hanging out with her dog and cat. She also volunteers as a researcher for a volunteer-run organization committed to engaging high school youth in an experiential learning environment to create innovative solutions to issues around waste management.
