Sage Craig joined the Nature Canada team in May 2023 and organizes the Work to Grow Program.

Sage was raised on the traditional land of the Algonquin and Anishinaabe Peoples, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. They gained experience in international development within the non-profit sector and behavioural research focused on promoting equity and diversity within public spaces. They are deeply passionate about the intersection of racial injustice and the climate crisis and aim to address these important issues in their work that focuses on promoting opportunities for BIPOC youth to pursue careers in nature.

From a young age, Sage has held a deep appreciation for nature and its restorative and healing effects on the human soul. They spend much of their free time exploring various natural parks and capturing their picturesque landscapes through plein air painting.
