Andrew Aziz is Communications and Digital Director at Nature Canada. He oversees all aspects of the organization’s communications and digital engagement work, including strategic communications, media relations, social media, and audience engagement.
Andrew has an extensive background in environment-focussed communications, both nationally and internationally. His areas of expertise are wide ranging, at various times focussing on trade in endangered species, marine wildlife protection, sustainable development, climate change, clean energy, and natural resources extraction.
Previously, he has worked for organizations including the Pembina Institute, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development, and the CBC.
Andrew has a master’s degree in journalism from Carleton University and an undergraduate degree in international development and East Asian studies from York University.
