Contest alert:  If you are a grade 8 or secondary 2 student or teacher in Canada, you should know that your class is eligible to win Canada’s Coolest School Trip, an all-expense paid trip to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

The winning class will celebrate the 300th anniversary of Fortress of Louisbourg and explore the beauty of Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

So far, more than 100 classes from across the country have entered, which is a great start! We would like your help to spread the word so that even students have a chance to win, so if you know any eighth graders or teachers, share this link: www.contest.myparkspass.ca/
Classes have until February 24 to submit their entry, and the winning class will be announced in early April. The trip will take place June 3-7, 2013.
To enter the contest, students must produce an ad in the category of their choice (video, radio or print) that encourages Canadians to visit one or both of these two special places. For contest details, please visit the English contest website or the French contest website.
Canada’s Coolest School Trip contest is part of the My Parks Pass program, a joint initiative between Nature Canada, the Historica-Dominion Institute, Parks Canada Agency and the Royal Canadian Geographic Society.
