Canada’s Coolest School Trip – Voting Has Begun!

Canada's Coolest School Trip Logo

Public voting for the Canada’s Coolest School Trip Contest has begun, and continues until March 22, 2013.

So many amazing ads were submitted to the Canada’s Coolest School Trip Contest – 44 classes across the country participated — and now it’s time for all of us to show them some love!

Visit My Parks Pass, check out all the creative talent, and vote for your favourite. You can vote once every day!

Classes were invited to submit a video, audio or print ad encouraging other Canadians to explore the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site and/or Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

The 15 ads (five in each category – video, audio or print) that receive the most votes from the public will be judged by a panel who will select the grand prize winner and the three runners-up (the best of each category).

Grand prize: an all-inclusive trip to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, to visit Parks Canada special places such as the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site and Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

Runners-up will receive a special virtual presentation from Parks Canada, a lunch party and $500 to give to the charity of their choice.

The winners will be announced early April.

Please help out and make sure to vote for your favourite ad in the Canada’s Coolest School Trip Contest!

The My Parks Pass program is delivered in partnership with Nature Canada, Parks Canada, The Historica-Dominion Institute and the Royal Canadian Geographic Society. Here’s more on My Parks Pass.
