Building a Nature Nation
Thank you to all of our Nature Canada supporters. We would not have been able to achieve so much without your support. But there’s still more we can do. In Canada today, less than 10% of our land and very little of our waters have some form of protected status. We must work together to ensure that they are protected rather than destroyed.
We could establish even more parks, protect more animals, and save many critical wildlife areas. We could introduce thousands more urban children to nature, many of whom have never hiked in the forest or swum in a lake.
My own two children have been lucky to see deer and beaver, moose and eagles, frogs and loons in their natural environment. Years from now, I want their children and grandchildren to know the same joy and wonder. That’s why I’ve left a bequest to Nature Canada.
And I can assure you that your gift will have an impact. Over the years, I’ve seen the results that bequests have made. They’ve funded monitoring programs, helped protect important bird areas, and advanced our education and outreach to communities and youth. Think what you could contribute to!
What better way to honour nature than making a gift in your will to help ensure future generations will also experience all the joys nature has to offer?
