From Nature Canada's Flickr Group:
I had one visitor trying to get a snack from me while I was taking in the sights of Lake Moraine. While finally giving up on me, and finding a nut scurried to the rock to munch away. Another Squirrel appeared and attempted to take the nut right out of the others mouth. Just too cute. Also as I have be explaining to most who have see the picture, they are not Chipmunks as they do have similar colouring, they are much bigger. They are Golden-Manteled Ground Squirrels. Taken at Lake Moraine, Banff National Park, Alberta.

Thanks for sharing this photo with us on Flickr, Sarah!
Often mistaken for a chipmunk, the Golden-Mantled Ground Squirrel is both heavier and longer. Both species have distinct black stripes running down their backs, but the unlike the Chipmunk, the Squirrel’s stop at its neck.
The Golden-Mantled Ground Squirrel gets its name from the golden, russet-coloured mantle on its shoulders and neck. Seeds, nuts, fungi, insects, bird eggs, small vertebrates, and carrion comprise its diet.
With winter just around the corner, these two are stocking up on food supplies that will fatten them up enough to survive long months of hibernation.
