Tailed Frog (Ascaphus truei)

  • 2.5 to 5 cm
  • Found in parts of southern B.C.
  • Does not call
  • Green-brown to red, with small "warts"
  • No external eardrum
  • Pupil of the eye is vertical
  • Breeds in cold, clear, rocky streams

 

Tailed frog
