Canadian toad
  • 3.7 to 7.5 cm
  • Found from Alberta to Manitoba and in the N.W.T.
  • Call is a soft, low-pitched trill
  • Calling begins in mid- to late spring
  • Brown to grey-green with brownish-red warts
  • Cranial crests are parallel or fused to form a raised bump between the eyes
  • Breeds in temporary or permanent wetlands
